Research Practice for Health Professionals, Certificate

Overview

The certificate program is intended for a wide-range of medical audiences, including clinical practitioners, allied-health practitioners, medical students, and post-baccalaureate and baccalaureate pre-medical students. [ Eligibility - degree seeking vs non-degree seeking ] 

This program is offered [in-person/online] and can be completed in [unit of time] of full-time attendance.

Requirements

A minimum of 16 units are required for the certificate. 

Students should note that courses completed with at least a B or better may also count toward the Master of Public Health (MPH) or M.S. in Evaluation and Applied Research degree.

Required Courses

Professional Development Experience 

In addition to the coursework above, students are required to complete this requirement in one of two ways:

  • Attendance in 20 hours from a list of approved events in seminars emphasizing applied research methods, including a reflection.
  • Participation in a research project with a CGU faculty or collaborator consisting of a minimum of 20 hours, plus a summary of contributions.
