The MA in Management (MAM) is a flexible program for students who are looking to add functional training to their liberal arts education, transition into a new career, and build management and technical skills.

Admission. Admission requirements are detailed in the Admissions section of the current Policies and General Information Bulletin.

Degree Requirements

The MAM consists of 32 semester units and can be completed in 2-3 semesters on a full-time basis or 4-5 semesters on a part-time basis.
 

MAM Degree Unit Breakdown

  • Core Courses: 16 Units
  • Electives: 16 Units
  • Total Degree: 32 Units

Core Courses

  • MGT 300/500 Drucker Philosophy (2 units)
  • MGT 302/502 Practice of Leadership (2 units)
  • MGT 310/510 Business Analytics (4 units)
  • MGT 370 Organizational Behavior (4 units)
  • 4 units of additional MBA core courses

Additionally, all MAM students must complete the Financial Accounting milestone before the beginning of their second semester. This may be completed by:

  1. Submitting the syllabus of a financial accounting course completed in the last 5 years with a grade of B or better from an accredited university
  2. Submitting evidence of successful completion of a pre-approved Coursera course
  3. Demonstrating possession of a CPA license

Certificates & Concentration

Students may earn one or more certificates or concentrations; however no course units may be counted toward more than one certificate or concentration. Not all certificates will be offered in every modality.

Equivalent coursework transferred in may not be applied toward a certificate; all units must be completed at the Drucker School.

  • Leadership (certificate)
  • Marketing (certificate)
  • People & Strategy (certificate)

Available concentrations in the 2025-2026 academic year include:

  • HR Management (concentration)
  • Information Technology in Management (concentration)

Students should consult their academic advisor on their eligibility and course requirements. Certificates and concentrations may only be added with departmental approval. Course offerings for each may vary year to year and cannot be guaranteed.

Departmental Policies

Transfer Credit. The Drucker School does not permit transfer units for its master’s degree. Students may instead request to waive courses based on prior coursework. For more information, please see the department handbook.
