The Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management and the Mathematical Sciences faculty collaborate to offer the Financial Engineering, MSFE and Financial Engineering, PhD degrees. These programs prepare students to design, evaluate, and manage modern complex financial instruments used in investment banking and corporate finance. The mathematics component provides the computational toolbox of analytical techniques needed to analyze and evaluate such instruments. The management component provides tools to interpret institutional needs and goals in the design of a portfolio of appropriately constructed instruments.
Applicants to the program should have a strong undergraduate background in mathematics, experience in computer programming, and familiarity with mathematical software. Students will acquire the necessary management tools during the course of the program.
