MGT 514 - Methods of Quantitative Research

We will hone in on the key strength of qualitative methods, namely that they are ‘flexible’, i.e. they allow for a variety of designs, and even accommodate changes of the research design along the way, in iterative cycles of data collection and analysis. Sophisticated research designs invariably involve re-designing and you will learn how to make good use of longitudinal vs. cross-sectional approaches, the role of context in giving you greater theoretical purchase on your empirical findings, and ultimately in relaying the choreography of what you contribute to academic discourse.
