PSYCH 350SS - Leadership in a Complex World

Organizations are increasingly complex and dynamic, making the task of leadership more difficult than ever. There are literally hundreds of different theories and models of leadership. Rather than studying these different theories, we will examine leadership from a practical perspective and will introduce theories to understand the scientific support for effective leadership practices. Movies, cases, and experiential exercises will be used increase learning insights and highlight the subtleties and nuances of effective leadership.
