PSYCH 315NN - Bayesian Statistics This course is an introduction to Bayesian statistics, in which one’s inferences about population parameters or hypotheses are updated as evidence accumulates. Bayesian inference is an alternative approach to Frequentist inference, which is currently the standard approach in Psychology. Bayesian statistics are becoming more common in Psychology so this course will be especially attractive to PhD candidates wishing to pursue a research career in academia. Successful completion of the PSYCH 308 sequence is a pre-requisite for this course. Units: 2 Course Type: Seminar
