PP 484 - Survey Research Public opinion is central to politics. Understanding how and what mass publics think is critical for assessing the capacity of electorates to participate politically and how well institutions represent the wishes of the people. To understand public opinion we can poll small samples to make inferences about large populations but how we design surveys, construct our samples, and analyze this data can drastically affect our conclusions. This course combines theory with hands-on field research to address these topics and more. Units: 4 Course Type: Seminar
