EVAL 310A - Evaluation Principles I

This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts in the discipline of evaluation. Emphasis will be placed on differentiating research from evaluation, understanding the professional standards that guide the practice of evaluation, the varying purposes and roles for program evaluation, as well as key issues and current trends in the field. Case studies and practical examples will be used to illustrate how key course concepts translate to modern evaluation practice.
