CGH 417 - Population Health System Engineering

The purpose of this course is to teach the principles of systems engineering and integration for application in complex population health settings that include two or more separate and prior-existing systems including public health, community clinic (ambulatory care), hospital, and traditionally non-health organizations such as schools, NGOs, community centers, churches, etc. to bring each into concert with the other(s) for a common population health objective. This course is conducted as a workshop or clinic to produce one or more systems engineering products with students and their community counterparts working as teams.
