MUSIC 301B - Music Literature and Historical Styles Analysis Designed to provide an overview of music literature from the Middle Ages to the mid-twentieth century with concentrated analysis of representative works, using analytical techniques appropriate for the period under discussion. Although this core sequence concentrates on Western music, comparison, as well as comparative methodologies, with other world music cultures may be introduced.
The course may be repeated twice for credit. Units: 4 Course Type: Seminar
