ART 349A - Practice, what is practice?

This class will cover a range of contemporary art practices. From Ellen Gallagher to Nam June Paik, the class will look at how different artists function in the art world. Topics will range from how their studio functions, how certain exhibitions come to be, and how the market (making money) works or doesn’t work for some artists.
