ARMGT 351 - Arts & Cultural Policy

Cultural policy is the context in which all arts organizations and artists operate. Cultural policy shapes government and private support of the arts and is connected to a broad array of other issues such as cultural equity and inclusion, gentrification, education, advocacy, and economic development. This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the importance of cultural policy, and the many ways it influences cultural production in the United States and internationally.
