BOT 370 - Quantitative Phylogenetics

This course is primarily an introduction to “tree thinking” from a biological, logical and philosophical perspective and secondarily from an algorithmic point of view. It represents a survey of methods of phylogenetic estimation, including distance methods, parsimony, maximum likelihood, and Bayesian estimates, among others.
