Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Visual FX: Film, Gaming, and Design, Certificate

The advanced Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Visual FX: Film, Gaming, and Design is an advanced certificate offered through the Online Certificate Program in Location Intelligence and Spatial Analysis. The certificate program is designed for GIS professionals who utilize Location Intelligence and/or Spatial Analysis and who have a Master’s degree, or do not need a Master’s degree, but do need to learn about specific aspects of the geospatial domain.

Requirements

8 units of required coursework (four 2-unit courses):

Introduction to CityEngine
Advanced CityEngine Techniques
Rendering: Unreal Engine / Maxwell Render
Rule Generation: Palladio / Houdini

The advanced certificates cover a range of topics that can be offered based on demand. Students who want to obtain an advanced certificate must have completed the basic certificate or demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
