The Community College Professional Leadership Certificate Program (CCPLC) is a unique, continuing education program focused on providing leadership development to professionals in the community college arena. A rigorous program helps participants develop an immediately applicable skill set for increasing daily, operational effectiveness. Courses are offered through a collaboration of CGU faculty in education, psychology, and from the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management.
Program Requirements
Coursework. A three-module sequence distributed over six months earns participants 12 professional credit units (PCU).
Graduate Credit. Program participants may petition to enroll in EDUC 598 (Capstone Project). An independent study enrollment contract (available from the registrar’s Independent Study webpage) is used to enroll. Completion of the capstone project earns six units of graduate-level academic credit for those interested in pursuing a degree in Education. CGU students who participate in the program and complete the capstone project earn the 12 PCUs and six units of graduate-level credit toward their programs of study.
University Policies. University policies detailed in the Student Information section of the Bulletin apply.
