Arts Management (MAAM)
The Master’s program in Arts Management equips its graduates with the tools to take on management roles in the arts and culture sector.
With applied skills in administration, finance, fundraising and marketing, graduates of the Arts Management program emerge prepared for careers in nonprofits and social enterprise, public agencies and foundations, art collectives, and creative communities.

Degree Requirements
The Master of Arts in Arts Management is a 40-unit degree: 26 units of required coursework plus 14 units of electives.
- Field Travel Study (2 units)*
- Finance & Accounting for the Arts (4 units)
- Introduction to Arts Management (4 units)
- Legal Foundations of the Arts (4 units)
- Marketing Management (2 units)
- Principles & Practices of Fundraising (2 units)
- Capstone Sequence (8 units total)
- Electives (14 units total, at least 8 units must be taken within Arts Management, the Drucker School, and/or the School of Arts & Humanities)
*All students are required to complete one mandatory travel course. The course requires an travel fee in addition to course tuition.
Capstone Sequence
Every CBMArts student completes a capstone sequence consisting of 8 units of coursework.

Master’s Thesis
Eight units of approved courses in Arts & Humanities; specific courses will be determined in conjunction with advising. Master’s Degree thesis regulations available in the current Policies and General Information Bulletin.
