Return to: School of Educational Studies
The Ph.D. program with emphasis in Urban Leadership is designed to meet the needs of urban P-14 educational leaders, and offers the option to earn the Professional Administrative Services Credential. Designed around the needs of scholar practitioners holding leadership roles in urban schools, students in the first year of study take courses held on weekends for a cohort of mutually supportive leaders. In the second year, students individualize their academic programs by choosing the courses and research they wish to pursue. Individuals working as school administrators and possessing the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential may choose to earn the Professional Administrative Services Credential by incorporating the required courses into their plan of study. All other requirements of the Ph.D. apply to students in this program. See www.cgu.edu/pages/1641.asp for additional information.
