The MS in Finance (MSF) is a fast-track degree that equips students with in-depth expertise in finance. The MSF provides students with specialized training in financial analysis combined with broad exposure to topics in innovation and technology. The program is designed for recent college graduates and early career professionals who wish to study the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge. The CFA designation is the premier certification globally for professionals in investments and financial analysis and is viewed as a way to ‘fast-track’ your career in financial analysis.

The MS in Finance is a flexible program that can be completed in as few as two semesters full-time or four semesters part-time.

Financial Accounting: New students are required to show competency in Financial Accounting prior to enrollment in coursework.

Elective Courses

Electives vary from year to year and are listed on the MS in Finance schedule. Students are required to complete 8 units of which 4 must be from hard electives and 4 from soft electives. 

Online Ethics Course

MSF students are required to complete an online ethics course in the first fall semester of the program. The course aims to ensure that all MSF students have an understanding of the ethical decision-making framework CFA has developed to guide investment professionals as they resolve ethical dilemmas in the best interests of their clients. Students should consult their academic advisor for more information.
