Improving the health and well-being of local communities is the primary objective. Strategies include state-of-the-science research and training programs that address the behavioral, biological, social, and economic determinants affecting health outcomes. Two programs have been designed to train students to meet these goals.
Dual Degree Programs
Students who wish to pursue an MPH with another master’s or doctoral degree should refer to the dual degree guidelines defined in the Registration and Degree Information section of the Bulletin. A dual degree program is currently available with the Mast of Arts in Psychology.
Accelerated Program BA/MA
Undergraduate students from The Claremont Colleges may apply to a BA/MA program offered in conjunction with Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona, and Scripps colleges. During the last two years of their undergraduate programs, undergraduate students are increasingly immersed into public health course. Upon completion of the bachelor’s degree, the student is admitted with full graduate standing to the MPH Program.
