The goals of Human Resources Design (HRD) focus on equipping students with the knowledge and skills to assist organizations in a number of vital endeavors and responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain more effective human resources policies
- Manage a diverse workforce
- Understand how social, regulatory, and technical changes affect human resource requirements
- Design and manage organizational change
Admission Requirements
Applications are accepted throughout the year, although applications received by January 15 receive priority consideration for financial aid for fall admission. Applicants are admitted on the basis of letters of recommendation, a personal statement, GRE or GMAT scores, a résumé, and undergraduate transcripts. A personal interview with the program staff is recommended. While most students are employed in the human resources profession, other qualified students also are accepted. University policies detailed in the Admission section of the Bulletin apply.

Human Resources Design, MS
Dual Degree Option
CGU students have the option to work toward two degrees at the same time. Dual degree options, detailed in the Registration and Degree Information section of the Bulletin, are available to HRD students. Popular combinations for the Master of Science in Human Resources Design (HRD) include the Psychology, MA and the Business Administration, MBA . Approval for admission to multiple programs must be obtained from each program.
