Information Systems and Technology - MSIST

Master’s of Information Systems and Technology

The MSIST offers a distinct blend of practical application and theoretical focus. The curriculum has been designed to provide technical and managerial knowledge.

We currently offer six specializations/concentrations (see listing below). Our wide range of topics is valuable for students going into practice and/or, for those moving into a PhD program.

Program Details

  • 11 courses, 44 units
  • Up to 8 units of previous graduate level coursework may be transferred in/ counted towards this degree
  • Designed for students with or without an IS&T background

Three Specialization Courses (12 Units)

We currently offer six specializations, students take three courses in one of the following areas: (1) Geographic Information Systems Solution Development, (2) Cyber Security & Crisis Management, (3) Social Technologies, (4) Health Informatics, (5) Mobile Technologies & Cloud Computing, and (6) a “Self-Designed” Option. The benefit of this flexibility is that it allows you to develop expertise in a sub-field of your choosing. This is valuable for students going into practice, and for those moving into a PhD program.
