The advanced Certificate in Geograhic Information Systems (GIS) for Health and Healthcare is an advanced certificate offered through the Online Certificate Program in Location Intelligence and Spatial Analysis. The certificate program is designed for GIS professionals who utilize Location Intelligence and/or Spatial Analysis and who have a Master’s degree, or do not need a Master’s degree, but do need to learn about specific aspects of the geospatial domain.

8 units of required coursework (four 2-unit courses):
- Introduction to GIS in Health and Healthcare
- Public Health Geo Intelligence: An Overview
- Conducting a Spatial Health Needs Assessment
- Assessing Core Metrics for Health and Healthcare

Location Intelligence and Spatial Analysis Certificate Program Prerequisites
The foundational certificate, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Spatial Insight , is designed for individuals who want to learn basic GIS concepts and analytics. The advanced certificates cover a range of topics that can be offered based on demand. Students who want to obtain an advanced certificate must have completed the basic certificate or demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
