Business Administration, Executive MBA


The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) provides experienced professionals with a thorough foundation in the functions and processes of management. Students can earn executive certificates while completing their degree requirements.

Degree Requirements

Coursework.  A total of 48 units are required in three areas.

Core Business Management Foundations (16 units). Required units are distributed in the areas identified as follows.

  • Financial Accounting (4 units)
  • Corporate Finance (4 units)
  • Marketing Management (2 units)
  • Business Analytics (4 units)
  • Creating Effective Organizations, Leadership Matters or Organizational Behavior (2 units)

Strategy or Leadership (8 units).

  • Strategy courses have been developed by senior faculty based upon their unique research.  Coursework allows students to delve deeply into the integration of strategy in other management subjects.
  • Leadership courses examine what it means to lead in today’s world and learn ways to affect meaningful change and performance in yourself and from those around you.

Electives (24 units). The program offers elective courses on a variety of subjects, allowing each participant to craft a program of study to meet specific interests and needs.
